Finding your soul purpose or even re-finding it can be a difficult task. Nobody can do it for you, it's something you have to work on every single day. I don't think it's something we just stumble upon but rather something we work at while being our most true self. Nowadays it's so difficult to even make a post, say something or take small steps towards your own personal goals without feeling anxiety of what others will think. That's just not cool. It sucks when you have to feel some sort of nervousness or anxiety when striving for something that sets your soul on fire. That's why today's story is all about FINDING your purpose and the steps you can start to take to get there or get it back.
1) Get Real
The first thing you can do is get real with yourself. What is it that is stopping you from taking the steps forward towards your goals. Are you feeding yourself excuses? Not enough hours in the day? Too tired? Not good enough? There's always something we tell ourselves in order to back away and crawl back to our comfort level. I challenge you to get real with yourself, think of what could happen if it all does work out. Start by finding the things that excite you, bring you joy and fill your heart. We all have that one thing or maybe a few that we can't stop thinking about. It excites us, it makes us feel alive. One of my favorite quotes is "it's the possibility of having a dream come true that makes life interesting." ~Paulo Coelho
Some of your dreams and goals may scare you, that's a good thing. Those are the things that will make you feel alive and begin to instill a confidence in you as you follow your own personal journey. So, I challenge you to start by finding the things that bring you more life.
2) Start Small
The next thing is starting small. Look how I stated starting "small" and not just typing the word start. We hear it all the time, just START... that word can be pretty daunting to most. Starting small is different, you begin with baby steps. If your goal is to be a singer, start by researching a few coaches, classes, YouTube videos, things you can do to just make the decision to move in the direction of your purpose. Instead of giving yourself a HUGE task to start, begin with the smallest of steps and watch as you begin to build those into big milestones. Just like a weight loss journey, it's more of a marathon, seeking out longevity, health and happiness along the way.
3) Be Bold
The last thing, be bold. Have bold goals, dreams and intentions when it is anything that includes your life purpose. This is your life! You get a crack at anything you want to be and anyone you want to be. Have big aspirations and goals that scare you, shoot for the moon and see where you end up. One of the best pieces of advice I heard was whether you have a financial, life or relationship goals aim high and don't renounce your goal even if you fall short. 9 times out of 10 you'll be a lot closer to your goal by falling short then adjusting it so you can hit it. Keep going, keep your faith at times it gets hard and if you need a rest, TAKE IT! Don't be afraid to just rest, it's healthy and will keep you from quitting.
